Off road icon gets more Bendix braking options

Already highly visible travelling remote outback tracks, on rural roads and –dare we say – school carparks at pick-up, the popular Toyota LandCruiser in 300 Series guise has been a focus for Bendix in recent months, with several braking upgrades launched for the model in 2023.

This month, Bendix has continued its range rollout for the 300 Series, with the release of several Ultimate 4WD™ Brake Upgrade Kits, to give extra braking performance for the ‘Cruiser’, which tips the scales at a kerb weight of around 2,600kg.

Bendix’s Ultimate 4WD™ Brake Upgrade Kits offer all the components a LandCruiser owner might want to upgrade the braking performance of their 300 Series, all in the convenience and efficiency of a kit.

For LandCruiser 300 Series, front kit variants are available to suit vehicles with either 17 or 18” rims in both standard ride height, and for cars with a 2” suspension lift.

The front kits include two Ultimate 4WD™ Brake Rotors, a set of Ultimate 4WD™ Brake Pads, a vehicle set of Ultimate Brake Hoses, a litre of heavy-duty brake fluid, a can of Bendix Cleanup, a tube of Ceramasil Lubricant, Bendix rotor wipes, with all contents packaged in a tough 60 litre Bendix Icebox.

A rear kit is also available for the LandCruiser 300 Series to suit both 17 and 18” rims. Rear kit content is similar to the front kit and includes two Ultimate 4WD™ Brake Rotors, a set of Ultimate 4WD™ Brake Pads, Bendix Cleanup, Bendix rotor wipes, Bendix stubby holder and 46 litre Bendix Icebox.

Ultimate 4WD™ Brake Upgrade Kits for 2023 PY Ford Ranger

Availability of Bendix Ultimate 4WD™ Brake Upgrade Kits have also increased to now cover the latest 2023 model PY Ford Ranger (XL and XLS models only), with front kit options to suit both standard ride height and cars equipped with a 2” lift. Kit inclusions are the same as for the Toyota LandCruiser.

Better braking for FG Falcon, Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ

For drivers who prefer to stick to the blacktop and may even enjoy the occasional track day, December also saw the release of additional Ultimate+™ Performance Brake Upgrade Kits for FG Falcon and the Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ twins.

For Falcon, model year 2008 to 2014 is now covered by both front and rear options, while the 86 and BRZ receive a front kit. Each Ultimate+™ Performance Brake Upgrade Kit contains everything that’s needed to significantly increase a car’s braking performance in the convenience and cost effectiveness of a single package.

The front kit features Ultimate™ Sports and Performance front rotors, Ultimate+™ high friction brake pads, braided brake lines, DOT 4 brake fluid, Ceramasil parts lubricant and a cleaning product, while the rear kit contains Ultimate™ Sports and Performance rear rotors and Ultimate+ high friction brake pads.

All components offer the very latest in braking technology, developed following extensive R&D input and advanced manufacturing processes.
