New Bendix braking solutions for Kia Stinger

Launched in Australia and New Zealand in Late 2017, Kia’s Stinger range gave local motorists the opportunity to purchase a powerful, rear wheel drive sports sedan, following the demise of the locally produced fast Falcons and Commodores.

A recent expansion to Bendix’s Ultimate+™ and Street Road Track™ brake pad ranges, now sees turbocharged 3.3l variants of the Stinger line-up, get improved braking power to go with its generous 272 kW / 510Nm output.

Bendix’s Ultimate+™ brake pads feature an advanced ceramic formulation, that provides a responsive pedal feel and braking confidence no matter what the driving conditions. Other benefits include improved stopping power of up to 25 per cent compared to standard pads and greater brake fade resistance. They’re also more durable and less likely to wear the brake rotors.

Additionally, their ceramic formula produces significantly less noise and dust, meaning wheels stay cleaner for longer. And for workshops, Bendix’s ‘Blue Titanium Stripe’ – which is designed to rapidly mate with the rotor when brakes are first installed – eliminates the need to ‘bed-in’ the pads, potentially saving up to 10 minutes of workshop time.

Also now available for fast Kia is Bendix’s track honed Street Road Track™ (SRT) brake pad range. These high-performance pads incorporate the latest friction material technology and are ideal for owners who regularly like to push the limits at the racetrack in high-speed driving environments. The pads’ versatility also mean that they work exceptionally well on the road as part of the daily commute, or for a weekend blast on a favourite ribbon of tarmac.

As well as delivering consistent brake response over a variety of speeds and minimal brake fade even after long hour, high speed use, SRT’s unique fibre impregnated rubber steel technology delivers quiet operation. The film is applied to both sides of the carbon steel shim meaning improved noise damping and reduced vibration for drivers.

More disc brake pads for other popular models
In a market first, this month also saw Bendix release new Ultimate+™ brake pad options for the coupe-styled Haval H6 GT, giving owners a high-quality aftermarket brake pad alternative for their vehicles.

There’s also good news for owners of Ford’s sales chart-topping Ranger PY (2022 onwards) utility and it’s wagon derivative Everest of the same generation – they can now select Bendix Heavy Duty disc brake pads. These pads are a multi-purpose pad designed for hard working vehicles that regularly tow or are used in other demanding applications. They offer longevity in high temperature conditions by working cooler for longer.

New Electric Brake Wear Sensors for BMW SUVs
January also sees Bendix release new Electric Brake Wear Sensors for BMW X3 (G01 Series) from 2017 onwards, and for the larger X5 SUV (G08 Series) from 2018 onwards.

The release further increases Bendix’s offering in the brake sensor space, with products now available to suit a wide range of vehicles and models, covering well over 900 applications.
